Montreux, Switzerland
There is very limited narrative tonight. We started the day at 5AM so that we could catch our flight to Geneva. Everything went relatively smoothly. We got a ride to the airport arranged by our B&B host. In spite of a couple of wrong turns, we made it in time to Brussels to catch our flight to Geneva. From there we caught a train to Montreux. There is a train station at the airport making travel very convenient. Once we arrived in Montreux, the hotel was a few minute walk from the train station.
Aside from eating and walking around Lake Geneva we did little else. This place is beautiful. The flowers, the lake and the mountains are all breathtaking. The path around the lake is scattered with statues which add whimsy and stories. Our room has a balcony overlooking Lake Geneva.
It is beautiful here. This is just a stopover for us as we enter Switzerland, but it is a nice way to start the last leg of our journey.
No cats Janine, but Freddie Mercury lived here for a while.
