Paris

We were much more rested today and we decided we are not too old for this adventure after all. We went on a wonderful food tour based in our area today. Our guide was great and we spent the day with 2 lovely ladies and their mom. They are from England and gave their mom a weekend in Paris for Christmas. If anyone is looking for gift ideas, this is a winner.

The tour started with croissants, and moved onto macarons, chocolates, pastrami sandwiches (from the Jewish section of town), , onion soup, dessert (a wonderful little pastry) cheese and wine. We also explored a food market that had everything from oysters to roasted chicken. This will be incorporated into our future meal planning.
It was rainy but a great way to spend 4 hours. Aside from being delicious, it was a nice way to get to know our neighborhood.  We got a little lost on the way home which allowed us to explore a bit more.
After many hours, we went out for dinner.  I know I can't believe we could eat more either.  We went to a lovely little restaurant a 4-minute walk from the apartment.  We both had beef bourguignon and enjoyed it thoroughly.
