We started the day with chocolate croissants. It is a good way to start the day. We headed to the Bastille and ended up spending hours at the Sunday Flea Market.  I found a lovely Spring jacket and a scarf that I did not need. All the ladies here wear scarves. We bought some fruit which will be a nice addition to all the cheese and desserts we've been eating. What was supposed to be a brief visit turned into a few interesting hours of exploring. Lunch was a couple of galettes (crepes) prepared as we watched and fresh squeezed orange juice.  It was a very pleasant, unplanned lunch. The Flea Market had an amazing variety of food including fish heads. For those familiar, The Trout Fishing in America song did start playing in my head.

This afternoon we visited Place de Vosges. "The Place des Vosges is one of the oldest palaces in Paris and also considered one of the most beautiful. Known as Place Royale until the end of the 18th century, it was originally dedicated to King Henri IV, then to his son, Louis XIII, after the assassination of Henri IV." I didn't know this either.
It was a lovely Sunday, and the park area was full of people enjoying the day. We visited Victor Hugo's apartment and Museum, which overlooks the park. We were able to fit in a birthday call with Andrew prior to a great dinner in a restaurant recommended by the Jago's.  It was another wonderful day in Paris.
We did less walking today but still covered 5 miles.
