We kept today simple and spent a few hours walking around the island Ile Saint-Louis.  It's about 10 minutes from our apartment. It isn't known for any major churches or museums, so it is a quieter area. That being said, a lot of people walk across it to get between the Left and Right Banks of Paris. It was easy to avoid the crowds. We looped around the island's border which provided lovely views of the Seine.  We brought sandwiches with us and found a quiet bench along the water to have lunch. There is one street that goes through the middle of the island.  It is dotted with art galleries, restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlors. We had our first ice cream of the trip, and it was delicious.  We also stumbled across another beautiful church that was hosting an art show. It was a great day for a stroll. Between the scenery, weather, and street musicians, it was a lovely afternoon in Paris.

We went out for an early dinner expecting onion soup and a French entree from the restaurant on our corner.  The place was mobbed and we should have made reservations somewhere since it's Saturday.  We punted and ended up at a Mexican place next door.  Not Parisian but tasty.
