After a slow start to the day that included chocolate croissants, we walked to Tuileries Garden. We spent a lovely afternoon there which included lunch. It is probably one of the prettiest places I've ever been. The flowers, trees, and statues are surrounded by mansions. Jack found it very relaxing.

We explored the area a bit but were definitely out of our league between the Rolex and Cartier stores.  We did get hot chocolate and macaroons from Angelina's which is supposed to be the best. We bought it from a stand in front of the Cafe. There was a line to get into the café. It was delicious but we've had better since we've been here and it wasn't line worthy.
We had an evening tour at the Louvre.  Our guide was knowledgeable of history and art making our 2-hour tour very interesting. I am very glad we did the tour. We would not have been able to find our way around on our own and definitely wouldn't have known what we were looking at. We covered a lot of the museum but there is far more to see. It is huge. We may return.
For a low-key day we ended up walking 7 miles and were beat when we got home.
