I can't believe this is our last day. We fly out early tomorrow morning so we are spending the night at a hotel near the airport that has a shuttle. It's a swanky old place We returned the rental car so the end feels real. I'll try to summarize everything after we get home and settled but the bottom line is this has been an amazing adventure. I am so happy I kept this blog so we'll be able to go through it and remember everything we've done. It is a bit of a blur right now. 

I do remember what we did today. We started with a nice breakfast at our hotel in Argegno and then drove to Cernobbio. This is a lovely town on Lake Como that we passed on the way to the hotel. It's very small but managed to fit in three churches. It was beautifully landscaped and is home to a very exclusive hotel we weren't able to get near, and some large villas. The downtown was charming and home to assorted restaurants and stores. We were going to have lunch here but decided to get gelato instead. It was a good choice. 

We originally planned on going to Milan for the day but dealing with the train and finding our way around was more than we felt like doing today. We were able to check in to the hotel and get the car returned without any problems. We are having dinner in the hotel and leaving at 6:30AM tomorrow for our early flight home. We are both a bit tired and looking forward to getting home. This has been a trip of a lifetime and I'm so glad we've been able to have so many adventures and see such beautiful places.

    It has been fun traveling along with you. One last city and the best choice for lunch are a nice way to round out the trip. Leaving will be hard but getting home will feel wonderful. Can't wait to hear more about your adventures. Love you both.

 Today we traveled to Kotor. The journey included amazing views which made our day. We traveled through the mountain area to experience something different. we achieved that goal. Jack liked the drive enjoying all the switchbacks, crazy turns and dangerous narrow roads. I was mostly okay with it. I was terrified at times but the views were amazing. I captured some of it but the pictures do not do it justice. Our room is great but includes an incline and about 80 steps. We should be in much better shape at the end of this trip, or in the hospital. There is a swimming entry to the bay at the end of our driveway.  We made it! We are in Montenegro. The flight was delayed about a half an hour but that wasn't a problem. There was a baby screaming for about half the trip but I felt more sorry for the parents and people sitting near it than us. Neither Jack nor I got more than an hour's worth of sleep. First lesson of the trip is don't fly Basic Economy on an over-night flight. We were so cramped it was impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep. You know it was bad if Jack didn't sleep. Getting the rental at the airport went vey smoothly and we were off. Jack was a trouper and handled the driving and navigation beautifully. I was completely useless and ended up with a migraine that resulted in frequent stops along the way. Aside from that, the travel itself was as good as we could have asked. We were through the border in less then half an hour. I had read it could take hours. We connected with the car ferry seemlessly, and were on our way through the windy mountain roads. Not id...
