Thunderstorms rolled through this morning so we caught up on things we've been neglecting. Jack napped and I checked on bills, booked tickets for one of our upcoming activities, checked on our rental car for Italy, and adjusted one of our reservations in Italy. I went for a slight upgrade to double the size of our room and have a view that isn't the neighbor's wall. The place we stayed in Split was well located but small and a little dungeon like. I don't want to repeat that.

We were pleasantly surprised when the weather cleared this afternoon and we were able to go to our local beach for a couple of hours. It was a little chilly, in the low 70s, but it was warm enough for us to take a dip when the sun came out . We figured this would be our last opportunity to swim in the Adriatic this trip. It's supposed to be in the 60's tomorrow and we are moving inland Monday morning.

Prior to this mornings rain I walked the property a bit and tried to capture the feel of the place. We are isolated but there are a a couple of neighbors. We actually had to wait for two cars to back into side cut outs on the road on our way out today. Only one car can fit at a time and it has to be a small car. The road is very narrow and rocky. Jack has used his line about the best off road vehicle being a rental. I just hope it holds up.

This place is amazing and if it wasn't for the anxiety we, mostly me at this point, experience every time we leave and return I would rave about it more. I love the view and the peace. We seem to be in the middle of no where but are actually just a few minutes from the main road and a grocery store. I literally was looking for the wart hogs they warn about on street signs while walking around the property. I really want to see one on the road but I really don't want to see one when I'm out walking.

Our road-it's probably about a half mile of this. In some places the drop off the sides is really             significant. Running into bushes is one thing, falling off a small cliff is another.

View from the road at the bottom of our property. Our beach is down there but we can't access it. The picture below is from past our house. It is actually paved.

If you look closely you can see our house in the trees
                                            Closer view of our beach
One way to access the beach we didn't use

Inside shots, nothing fancy but it functions well
