It's been a full day. We left Lumbarta early this morning and took the ferry to the mainland. We (Jack) proceeded to drive up the coast of Croatia towards Split where we will be spending the next couple of days. I can't begin to describe how amazing the drive was. It was another curvy mountain experience but around every bend was a beautiful view. I will post pictures below and apologize for the amount.
We stopped in a town called Makarska for lunch along the way. I had read nice reviews on it and was not disappointed. It is a lovely harbor town with a lot of charm. We also had a very nice lunch. We continued our journey and did not have any difficulty until we couldn't find the parking lot and ended up in the pedestrian only area that was clearly too narrow to drive on and there was no way to turn around. We stopped two random people who between them were able to figure out how we could exit. One of them spoke English which was very helpful. It was probably our most stressful ride.
After a brief rest we went on a tour of Split and the Diocletian's Place. The tour guide is a History professor and was knowledgeable and entertaining. The place is a main attraction in Split and part of Game of Thrones was filmed there. We stopped at another place that was featured on Somebody Feed Phil and had a burek, which is meat filled filo dough. Of course this was followed by gelato. We tried to find our way back to the room which was more challenging then I would have liked. It is like a warren of alleys and challenging to say the least. Google Maps doesn't work well in the maze. At least we were walking and not trying to navigate it by car as we did earlier in the day.

Our welcome to Split, it's amazing Jack didn't hit anyone or damage the car.

Your photography is amazing. Every shot is gorgeous. I'm glad you made it out of the pedestrian only walkway unscathed. You both look so happy and relaxed.
