Hello again. This is brief reflection of tonight's dinner out. I ordered a Montenegrin specialty, I forget the name but it was pot roast and mashed potatoes which were very well prepared. We sat next to a lovely English couple who we chatted with for a bit. They cautiously asked about the election and when we told them we were anti-Trump their reaction was basically, 'thank God'. This reminded me of a conversation we had at Sunset Beach with our waiter where we had the same experience. He asked about the election and was visibly relieved when we said we did not support Trump. The world is watching and from our brief glimpse they think Trump is awful. On a lighter note, our waiter tonight is from Serbia and he loves the US. He has been trying to get approved to be allowed to come to America for years. We are still highly viewed in the world. From our experience this past week and a half, very few Americans vacation in Montenegro. We met 2 people from Washington DC and 2 from Washington state. I think this will change in the coming years.  It is a very nice country from what we have seen.

 I can't believe this is our last day. We fly out early tomorrow morning so we are spending the night at a hotel near the airport that has a shuttle. It's a swanky old place We returned the rental car so the end feels real. I'll try to summarize everything after we get home and settled but the bottom line is this has been an amazing adventure. I am so happy I kept this blog so we'll be able to go through it and remember everything we've done. It is a bit of a blur right now.  I do remember what we did today. We started with a nice breakfast at our hotel in Argegno and then drove to Cernobbio. This is a lovely town on Lake Como that we passed on the way to the hotel. It's very small but managed to fit in three churches. It was beautifully landscaped and is home to a very exclusive hotel we weren't able to get near, and some large villas.  Today we traveled to Kotor. The journey included amazing views which made our day. We traveled through the mountain area to experience something different. we achieved that goal. Jack liked the drive enjoying all the switchbacks, crazy turns and dangerous narrow roads. I was mostly okay with it. I was terrified at times but the views were amazing. I captured some of it but the pictures do not do it justice. Our room is great but includes an incline and about 80 steps. We should be in much better shape at the end of this trip, or in the hospital. There is a swimming entry to the bay at the end of our driveway.  We made it! We are in Montenegro. The flight was delayed about a half an hour but that wasn't a problem. There was a baby screaming for about half the trip but I felt more sorry for the parents and people sitting near it than us. Neither Jack nor I got more than an hour's worth of sleep. First lesson of the trip is don't fly Basic Economy on an over-night flight. We were so cramped it was impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep. You know it was bad if Jack didn't sleep. Getting the rental at the airport went vey smoothly and we were off. Jack was a trouper and handled the driving and navigation beautifully. I was completely useless and ended up with a migraine that resulted in frequent stops along the way. Aside from that, the travel itself was as good as we could have asked. We were through the border in less then half an hour. I had read it could take hours. We connected with the car ferry seemlessly, and were on our way through the windy mountain roads. Not id...
